Dylan Skye Goedeker was born in the summer of 2006. He thrived with his mother, father and big brother, who was his best friend. He was quickly known as our sunshine boy.

Always wild and trying new things, Dylan Skye Goedeker was the youngest zip liner here in Mexico without an inkling of fear.

He was so animated. He didn’t just talk, he would exude emotion from every part of his body as he danced around and laughed. His favorite color was yellow and he loved his big bird stuffed animal. Athletic, smart, humorous and quite the cuddler.

He crammed so much life into his 6 years on earth. Zip lining in the jungle, football, sign language, camping, lacrosse, swimming with sting rays, Wii games, cub scouts, traveling and he did it all with gusto. He was a wild skier. After 2 years of skiing he turned to his parents and asked, “How do you stop again?” He had just decided it might be a good idea to know how to stop.

With the help of his grandmother, Disa, he has now authored the book, My Loved One Shines On! A Gift from Beyond.  He continues to spread his humor and love with many of us now. The only thing worse than his passing would have been to never have had him at all.
